Wow...sorry about that. Now, finally, here's your update.

Wednesday, December 28, 2005 - 3:45 PM
[Update by Frog]

Whew...okay. First off, major apologies for the tardiness of this update, which was due to you three days ago at the very least. First, Christmas got in the way. Then, I had the stomach flu. Also, amidst all that, I've been working on packing stuff. If you haven't heard, I'm moving to Cape here in the next couple of days, and that is taking up a lot of my time, as well.

Anyway, there is a new quote, as well as the Halloween pictorial, which is (I believe) a 53-picture affair. I hope you enjoy them all.

I have a couple more updates and a news archival coming up soon. Hang in there.

New pic and quote, plus a sneak peek at Kail: Moment of Truth!

Monday, December 12, 2005 - 1:48 AM
[Update by Frog]

Well, I still haven't gotten around to getting that Halloween pictorial done, but I think, finally, the next time we are due for a pic update, I'll have it ready to go. Ironically, the Halloween pictorial will be just in time for Christmas! In the meantime, enjoy the new pic and quote, which I believe you may fancy.

Also, you may notice that our traditional Christmas lights here on the site are not up this year. This is because I made a slightly better title graphic sometime early in 2005 and never got around to making the Christmas version of it. Perhaps after Wednesday I will find some time to make a new one, and hopefully it will top the old one.

So, it is possible that you are curious as to what I have been working so hard on for the past month or so (on top of all the crap I was already working on). Well, if you've been keeping up with the blog, you know I've been making this comic book for my publishing class. Well, I finally got it done this evening, and now I'm going to show you some preview shots from it that will hopefully get you riled up about reading it someday.

This is my new comic production company name and logo. I used to be called Gateway Comics way back in the day, but then the computer company of the same name got too big, and I decided to drop the moniker.

This is the cover, easily my best work in color ever. The shading and highlights look better on the screen than they do in printed form, but eh. Just a little. Please note that the guy on the left is NOT Superman, but rather a Superman-inspired character that was created by one of my friends. He is in the story for continuity purposes.

Uh oh! Kail is drawing a gun on somebody....

Interdimensional travel always makes for a good time.

Of course, no story would be complete without an epic space battle.

Anyway, if you've any interest at all in reading this thing, let me know and you can have your very own copy for the unbeatable price of no dollars. I'll try to have some done in time for Christmas.

Quote of the Moment and Blog have been updated. Everyone's a winner!

Tuesday, December 6, 2005 - 12:18 AM
[Update by Frog]

Sorry this is coming so late. The title pretty much explains this update in its entirety, really. I haven't started a second page of quotes because I don't quite know how I want to do that just yet, so the newest quote is on the same list as all the others.

Okay, I'm getting back to work now.

New blog, new pic, 100th quote...HOLY CRAP!

Monday, November 28, 2005 - 10:40 PM
[Update by Frog]

It's the biggest frog-man.net update of ALL TIME!* Look at all this crap that got updated!

The Halloween pictorial was delayed once again due to the destructive nature of my Fall 2005 schedule. It might be up in two Saturdays, but then again, it might not, as I might be working on revising short stories to be turned in on finals week, so we'll see. In compensation, please accept this photograph of my dog sitting on an extremely small table. Isn't that ridicurous?

There's also a new quote...our 100th Quote of the Moment, that is! This calls for a celebration--or, I might just start a new page of quotes, a page 2, if you will.

Lastly, new blog entry. This particular entry was written last night, but I didn't get it up until now because there was a storm going on as I wrote it.

That's all.

*Lies.

It's dangerous to go alone, take this quote and blog update with you!

Sunday, November 20, 2005 - 7:50 PM
[Update by Frog]

This update contains one new quote and one new blog entry. Be forewarned that the blog entry was written last night when my internet was not working. Thus, I was in a pretty poor mood.

Did you know that the next quote will be our 100th Quote of the Moment? You'll get exactly 100 right now if you add up all the numbers on the leaderboard because one quote had more than one person involved (which leads me to believe one quote is unaccounted for on the leaderboard, because three people were involved in that quote, so wouldn't there be 101?). But if you count individual entries, we are at 99 right now. Isn't that exciting? I think it's pretty neat.

And now, I return to the joys of homework.

Last chance for a thousand years...

Sunday, November 13, 2005 - 1:38 PM
[Update by Frog]

I would like to have done a much bigger update this time around. A pictorial is in the works, and I was hoping to have it done this weekend, but a very busy weekend has seen to the delay of that. On top of that, the homework just got...well, worse than ever. As such, you have received just one picture instead of many (and a quote, of course). With luck, maybe the Halloween pictorial will be up two weeks from now.

I suppose the status of dodgeball this week is in question due to the JHS FCA tournament. I wish them well and hope they see a lot of good action, but man, with the amount of aggression I'll need to release by Friday, they couldn't have picked a worse date.

Well, I guess I'm going to go to school and/or work on homework for the next 120 hours or so. Or die. Whichever comes first.

Going against direct orders to sleep, here's a new quote and blog entry.

Monday, November 7, 2005 - 1:20 AM
[Update by Frog]

This week's quote is probably more of a forehead slapper than it is hilarious, and the blog is...well, a blog, though fortunately somewhat less suicide-inspiring than the last entry I did.

Now I have to hurry up and do one other thing before I can go to bed. Good times.

Of amusement parks and exercises that sound painful, it's a new pic and quote!

Saturday, October 29, 2005 - 4:00 PM
[Update by Frog]

Woo! Everyone likes site updates, especially during the Halloween weekend. (This fact is actually totally unfounded, but hopefully it will get you more excited about either the update or about Halloween.) So here is an update for you now. Enjoy.

Pay attention to the message board for further information on Halloween weekend fun.

Amidst the homework barrage, here's the first new weekly quote.

Sunday, October 23, 2005 - 8:25 PM
[Update by Frog]

I need to write a short story and I'm working on formulating a plot for it right now. In the meantime, I figured I would post the first of the new weekly quotations. I also added two more to the queue this very week, so as of now, we're not even losing any ground! Rock on!

Also, check it out! In honor of this year's All Hallow's Eve, we're having a special round of Halloween-themed dodgeball this week. Wear your costumes and whatnot, if it's entirely possible.

I have ideas for two new articles for this website, but they're not going to get written until the homework subsides. But they're coming.

That is all. I might do a blog entry later.

Homework + Cards games + trip to Six Flags = very late pic and quote.

Tuesday, October 18, 2005 - 12:18 AM
[Update by Frog]

This was to be up Saturday morning, then Sunday or much earlier today (referring to Monday), but a lot of events and activities got in the way, most of which will probably be covered in the blog that will hopefully be up later tonight (or this morning...man, I hate the midnight turnover). Anyway, the pic and quote are new.

Also, due to the tremendous influx of quality quotations, I've noticed there are at least 25 useable ones in the queue, so new quotes will now be posted weekly until further notice.

Now I'm going to go do a blog entry, and then I hear my soul is being fed to the giant creature that lives under SEMO.

Usher in October with a new pic and quote!

Saturday, October 1, 2005 - 3:18 PM
[Update by Frog]

Man, even though I've been making blog updates all the time, it still feels like this is the first time I've updated the site in awhile. I guess it's just because I've only been changing the date to your left that indicates the latest blog entry. Whatever. I do hope you enjoy the new pic and quote... I think both are very much on the funny side.

Go Cards.

Changing up how I announce new blog entries from now on.

Thursday, September 22, 2005 - 11:08 PM
[Update by Frog]

Just so future news archives don't get clogged up with pointless updates stating that I updated the blog (which I did, by the way), I think I'm just going to put the date of the most recent one over by the link in the navigation menu. Is that all right with everyone else? What's that? you don't mind? Okay, good. I'll go ahead and do it, then.

Stepping up production... again!

Tuesday, September 20, 2005 - 9:45 PM
[Update by Frog]

Blog entries are now being posted at an unprecedented rate of three per week! My grade better be good if I have to annoy you this often.

....

Sunday, September 18, 2005 - 10:29 PM
[Update by Frog]

I don't know how I scraped enough crap together to do one of these, but here it is. Enjoy.

This pic and quote update is just awful... awful entertaining!

Saturday, September 17, 2005 - 11:55 AM
[Update by Frog]

Ah, it feels great to have regained my grasp of the concepts of time, sanity, and the benefits of a good night's rest. And, my allergies seem to be passing, with the exception of my stopped up/runny nose, which is the most annoying part of it, but at least the sneezing and coke eyes are gone.

Anyway, I have supplied you with a new pic and quote update, which are once again brought to you on schedule, unlike last time.

Aside from pics, quotes, and blogs, this site is suffering from stagnation of staggering proportions. I intend to remedy that as soon as I get caught up on homework and eat my brussel sprouts.

And again...

Thursday (I think?), September... something, 2005 - early AM
[Update by Frog]

I believe I'm still in the single digits in hours of sleep this week. Yet here I am, not going to sleep. And I know I work at 8 AM on this particular morning, so it must be either a Tuesday or a Thursday. And I had advanced creative writing just a few hours ago, so yeah, it's Thursday.

Well, I needed to do some homework tonight, so here's a weblog. Have fun with it. I'm gonna go pass out.

It felt so wrong, because technically it was doing homework on a Saturday.

Saturday, September 10, 2005 - 4:05 PM
[Update by Frog]

Nevertheless, it was done. Now, quell your boredom by reading a fresh entry from your favorite* weblog!

I had to take time out to wear my Eagles shirt for this particular entry, as football season has begun! Woo! But don't forget to continue to support your friendly neighborhood St. Louis Cardinals.

*If my blog really is your favorite, you've got problems. Seriously, find some new friends with more exciting lives than mine.

A website update, complete with three things!

Tuesday, September 6, 2005 - 12:11 AM
[Update by Frog]

Running a little late here, thanks mostly in part to my inexcusable lack of focus. I also blame baseball.

We have, of course, a new pic and quote, obviously too late in the week again. There is also a weblog entry.

Now, back to the homework. Or perhaps sleep.

Well, you can't deny this...

Thursday, September 1, 2005 - 11:49 PM
[Update by Frog]

...at least the website is receiving some much-needed updating, even if it is merely coming in the form of unimaginative and often depressing weblog entries. This one is a lot better than the last one, though. Seriously, it is.

These things are pretty hard to write when you have nothing to talk about.

Tuesday, August 30, 2005 - 12:45 AM
[Update by Frog]

Here's the latest in blog entries, but I really can't recommend reading it. Not only is it boring, but you'll also want to shoot yourself by the end. Yes, my blog entries have come to that. Yet again. It was only a matter of time.

Why, here's a blog entry now!

Friday, August 26, 2005 - 4:05 PM
[Update by Frog]

I wrote it last night, but my internet was broken, so here it is now.

Updates to the weblog are coming soon.

Thursday, August 25, 2005 - 12:59 AM
[Update by Frog]

The following is a message that I freshly posted on my blog so that it didn't get deleted, but it also contains a lovely announcement (I guess):

"So, here's my situation. First of all, I needed to make an update to this thing so it doesn't get deleted. Secondly, this blog is going to see more action very soon. My advanced creative writing class requires that I keep a journal of at least three entries a week. The entries for that journal are going to double as blog entries here. The reason I fail to update the weblog on a regular basis is because I also keep another, written journal that I write in pretty frequently. However, the written journal is personal enough that I don't really want anybody else looking at it. As such, I don't really want to turn it in to my teacher, even though we can request she not read certain entries. The weblog, meanwhile, is on an easily accessible website, so I only talk about things here that I'm comfortable with everybody else seeing. Considering the weblog is in serious need of regular updates, this seems like a fine way to fulfill my class requirement, as well as entertain and inform you at the same time. (I guess, anyway--I don't quite know how many of you actually read this even when it was getting regular updates.) So, look for some fresh blog entries starting... well, I guess I *have* to start pretty soon if I don't want my grade to suffer."

Sound good? Good. Maybe I can set up an official updating schedule or something, so you know when to look. We'll see.

Well, I guess it's about time to update the website.

Sunday, August 21, 2005 - 3:40 PM
[Update by Frog]

This update was obviously due last weekend, but I was busy then and put it off for a couple of days, intending to do it Monday or Tuesday. But then Summer Slam got cancelled and the dodgeball controversy reached a new, disgusting high, and I got bogged down even more. So I figured it would probably be wise to get something up before school starts (unfortunately) tomorrow. So, here it is... the pic and quote update that was due a week ago. I hope you enjoy it, and I'll try to stop being a lazy jerk.

One of our "Feiner" updates...

Monday, August 1, 2005 - 3:18 PM
[Update by Frog]

Today's pic and quote update (somewhat unintentionally) features our good friend Richard Feiner III at his... erm... finest. I hope you all enjoy his antics, and there's probably more to come, as Ricky seems to have reached some sort of comedic prime that we haven't witnessed until this summer.

I must go now, but more updates truly are coming soon.

Also, check out Blake's new podcast, Under the Radar.

A more significant update than usual.

Saturday, July 16, 2005 - 4:11 PM
[Update by Frog]

Not that significant, though. There's a new quote, and then a plethora of pics that can be found in a new and very damp Shellshocked 4 pictorial, which doesn't include a lot of actual band pictures, sadly. Details inside.

Old news was archived.

More updates coming soon.

Ah, bluegrass and softball--it's a winning combination!

Thursday, July 14, 2005 - 7:28 PM
[Update by Frog]

I bet you thought I forgot about this site, didn't you? Well, you're so far off course that one of the sea monsters at the edge of the map ate you! Despite the time and energy I'm putting into Chewy Ninja Monkey Bars these days (yes, another shameless plug), this site is still very much alive.

Today, I bring you a pictures update on The Sweet and Lowdowns site, featuring photographs from Shellshocked 4 and the June 25 show at the Cherry Street Artisan. Also, due to popular demand, a New Wells softball schedule has been added below the Quote of the Moment on your right. Only four games left, plus a TBA game that will determine whether or not we can go to the playoffs. More info on that when the time is right.

Things back to normal? New pic and quote?

Saturday, July 2, 2005 - 3:07 PM
[Update by Frog]

I'm happy to say the website seems to have stabilized... for now.

In the meantime, whilst worrying about the next time the site will go down, enjoy the new picture and quotation, which are surprisingly on schedule, for once.

Also, (shameless plug) make sure to check out chewyninjamonkeybars.com, if you haven't already. And tell your friends. And otherwise stir up publicity for it. Thanks.

We've switched back to the old Message Board...

Wednesday, June 29, 2005 - 7:00 PM
[Update by Frog]

You know, this one. Just in case you didn't get the message.

Site (partially) restored...

Sunday, June 26, 2005 - 10:55 PM
[Update by Frog]

Aside from the Sweet and Lowdowns .mp3s, the site should be back to where it was prior to this disastrous weekend. Actually, the weekend itself was pretty good, but it certainly wasn't friendly to this website. More on that soon enough, I guess.

Also, I shall continue my lobbying for a switch back to the old message board.

[Update (Monday, June 27, 6:23 PM) - .mp3s have been back up since around 2:30 this afternoon.]

Coming to you inexcusably late, it's the pic and quote update!

Tuesday, June 21, 2005 - 8:35 PM
[Update by Frog]

Finally, I'm getting caught up just a bit! Hooray! Unfortunately, still no Wagon Wheel on TSL. I think my internet service provider has vowed to make sure I don't get it uploaded or something, as the file transfer has failed every time I've tried to upload it. I will maybe try again when I go to bed tonight.

By the way, the Shellshocked pictorial will be available the next time the pic is updated. And by Shellshocked pictorial, I mean a wet, sloppy, and somewhat hilarious pre-Shellshocked pictorial, since I got very few pictures of the actual show before my camera ran out of batteries.

[Update (9:39 PM) - Wagon Wheel uploaded. About time!]

Another little Sweet and Lowdowns update...

Tuesday, June 21, 2005 - 1:30 AM
[Update by Frog]

This particular update has something to do with some sort of compact disc.

Still no Wagon Wheel, still no pic or quote. *sigh*

Misadventures in uploading -OR- Sweet and Lowdowns site update...

Monday, June 20, 2005 - 2:10 AM
[Update by Frog]

Well, as you can see, there's no pic and quote update yet. However, there is a Sweet and Lowdowns update, featuring many new pics and some new mp3s. There's still one more mp3 on the way, but I have got to get some sleep, so it'll be up tomorrow, assuming I don't shoot myself trying to upload it. I spent pretty much the whole weekend trying to get my internet connection and my webserver to cooperate long enough to get all the TSL files uploaded. It seems I failed. Truth be told, dial-up ain't what it used to be.

I was planning on assembling a pictorial of the few Shellshocked pics I took and using it for this week's pic, but after this weekend I'm pretty put off by the thought of putting any significant work into websites, so I might just hold that off until next time and use some other pic. We'll see.

Likewise, Chewy Ninja Monkey Bars: The Website was further delayed thanks to all of this. I apologize for what is becoming an ever-present myriad of inconveniences and delays surrounding both websites these days.

Pay attention to these important updates!

Monday, June 6, 2005 - 12:55 AM
[Update by Frog]

I sincerely apologize for the super lateness of this update, but somebody cut my brake line --OR-- FuitadNET can go to hell.

We're a little late on Shellshocked advertising (and Shellshocked everything, for that matter), but if you are like most humans, your cursor was instinctively drawn to the new animated advertisement for SS4 at the top of your screen. Check out the website for event and band info. Oh, and please tell your friends.

Secondly, visually ingest the new picture and quotation, which are unfortunately late due to super busyness Saturday and FuitadNET being stupid jerks who are stupid yesterday. My apologies again!

That's all I got... for now.

Because I'm still a human with real thoughts and emotions!

Tuesday, May 31, 2005 - 7:21 PM
[Update by Frog]

I made an update to the weblog. Horpefully you will find it enjoyable and not a waste of your time. I added some links to other blogs, as well, so the owners of those blogs should post some more.

Big pictures update to The Sweet and Lowdowns site.

Monday, May 30, 2005 - 7:43 PM
[Update by Frog]

This would have been up yesterday, but I spent a good portion of the latter part of the day battling the server trying to get things uploaded, and it didn't go too well. Nevertheless, here is the update. Enjoy.

Weblog is next. I probably have a rant in the works, too. Summer is kicking my ass in a very good way, if such a good ass-kicking exists.

Busiest Awesome Week ever!

Saturday, May 21, 2005 - 3:27 PM
[Update by Frog]

I think it's safe to say summer is off to a promising start, despite a few mishaps and... well... irregularities is maybe the best word. But, overall, Awesome Week 2005 was thoroughly awesome. And I guess it's still going through tonight.

Get a snootful of the new picture and quotation, if you will, as they are the only updates I have been able to muster thus far. An update to the Sweet and Lowdowns site, as well as a much-needed weblog update, are coming very soon.

Finals week... it's all so close to being over, I'm doing a pic and quote update.

Sunday, May 8, 2005 - 2:03 AM
[Update by Frog]

Since I finally... y'know, have a moment to spare in which I can actually make a website update. A week with two nights of less than 3 hours of sleep and no nights over 7 hours of sleep does not a productive Brian make. But at least I don't have 5 finals like I have in pretty much every other semester of my college career.

Anyway, I thought I would let you know I've been putting a little work into the CNMB site, and all I can say now is that it's progressing. I won't set a deadline, 'cus I know I won't meet it. Damn school. Just be over with already.

If you're not already aware, educate yourself on the Rage in the Cage dodgeball tournament on Friday, May 20. As always, more information is available at the JUDL website.

New Wells Softball Update: We're 0-3, and we lost all of those pretty terribly. New Wells Softball needs your support starting tonight at approximately 8:00 PM in Altenburg versus Immanuel, Altenburg.

Small update to the Sweet and Lowdowns site.

Wednesday, April 27, 2005 - 11:15 PM
[Update by Frog]

Just so it looks like I'm doing something around here, I figured I would point out the latest update to the Sweet and Lowdowns site, which includes new pics from their most recent show, and a few other small things you may or may not notice. Check it out.

Pic, quote, news, announcements, etc.

Saturday, April 23, 2005 - 2:43 PM
[Update by Frog]

Hopefully I remember to cover everything I am meaning to cover in this website update.

There is a new pic and quote, surprisingly on schedule, as well.

I also made one of those little link buttons for The Sweet and Lowdowns site. You can find that down by the No Budget and (defunct) Ivanovic buttons.

Today is officially 24-Hour Comics Day for 2005. But, it looks like I'm going to be working on homework and crap most of the day, so I won't be participating. However, you know what this means--we're doing it again this summer, and hopefully it will be bigger and better than last summer's event.

Yesterday was this website's 5th birthday. I cannot believe how old I am, nor can I believe how long this site has been around. But I would like to thank all of you who have given me reason to keep it going all this time, despite its lack of evolution.

Lastly, chewyninjamonkeybars.com was supposed to be up yesterday, according to my deadline. Naturally, I failed to meet that deadline. This is because of homework, mostly, and the demotivational effects of homework. It is also because my server has not sent me my username, password, and all of that stuff that I need to get it up and running. According to their forums, I am supposed to contact them and tell them to send it to me, even though they are supposed to do it themselves. It's pretty much a testament of their incompetent customer service, which has been a major complaint with my server since they got bought out by a bigger company. Figures.

[Update - 3:23 PM - Also added a video link on the TSL site.]

A new weblog entry is upon you!

Thursday, April 14, 2005 - 12:20 AM
[Update by Frog]

You'll notice there have been a lot of updates lately, probably because I'm supposed to be doing research papers, but I hate doing them, so I do as many things as I possibly can to put off doing the research papers, including making boring website updates of little substance and questionable accuracy, which in turn waste your time when you should also probably be doing some sort of end-of-semester projects and papers.

Yeah, so. There you have it. 4.4 weeks to go...

Small update to Gouletarian State.

Tuesday, April 12, 2005 - 5:45 PM
[Update by Frog]

The Gouletarian State website was brought up to date today with various small changes and the addition of a G-State team pic to the Team History page.

Also, chewyninjamonkeybars.com was registered today. It's on. Charles said the long URL adds to the novelty of the site, so I went with it.

Pics and quotes! We're just a bunch of crazy pics and quotes!

Sunday, April 10, 2005 - 10:56 PM
[Update by Frog]

"Do it for Chewie and the Ewoks... and all the other puppETs!"

Seriously, though, the pic and quote are new, albeit a day late. My apologies; it was another one of those busy weekends.

Firefox users may have noticed a page design error at the top of the navigation menu. That has been fixed, finally, thanks to Jon Reno and his investigative abilities.

I'll probably do a weblog later this week to cover the weekend or something. That's all I got for now. Back to the homework, now... blargh.

Weblog updated... finally!

Tuesday, April 5, 2005 - 3:30 AM
[Update by Frog]

It was most certainly a foolish, foolish mistake, as I could have got some much-needed sleep tonight, but there were a million things building up that I needed to do, and I hadn't done a weblog in almost a month, so that's what I ended up doing. Give it a look and enjoy. Maybe tomorrow I'll do some real work.

Chewy Ninja Monkey Bars to get its own website, regular updates.

Friday, April 1, 2005 - 12:01 AM
[Update by Frog]

I've been keeping this under my hat for awhile, but the time has come to reveal my master plan.

By talking to me or occasionally reading the weblog, you've probably picked up the impression that I wouldn't mind truly committing to Chewy Ninja Monkey Bars, to make new comic strips regularly (once a week at the least), market it, build an audience, sell merch, and perhaps one day make a pseudo-living off of it. But mostly just to make new comics regularly. I like doing them, and you guys seem to legitimately enjoy them (unless you're all just being nice, but I don't believe that's the case).

I've had a lot of fears and reservations about doing it. For one thing, school, hangin' out, and my own laziness have severely hindered my time set aside for drawing over the years. Bringing that kind of attitude into an environment in which you are committed to sticking to a regular schedule of updates will drive an audience away faster than a vehicle designed to drive away audiences. I did it this summer, even after I ran out of strips from 24-Hour Comics Day, and I think I can do it again. I waste enough time everyday to fit in regular drawing.

Also, I've always been afraid of introducing a massive and unfamiliar audience to this particular website. To be perfectly honest (and a little selfish), this is our place. It's about us. This is where we go to post things on the board, make plans, look at stupid pictures of ourselves, and whatever else. In most respects, this website has become what I wanted it to become when construction first began. It doesn't serve as many people as I once thought it would, nor does it necessarily serve whom I thought it would. But our little community here--all of you--is something special, something that I hope maintains itself to the day the internet explodes in a hail of pornography and online pharmacies. And to have a flood of new people show up because of a growing comic strip audience is something I don't want.

Therefore, I have decided to reintroduce Chewy Ninja Monkey Bars on its own website. It'll have a bunch of stuff... the comics, of course, cast page, mythos, a FAQ, probably a forum someday, merch someday, pretty much all the stuff most webcomic sites have. The target date is April 22, 2005 (also the 5-year anniversary of this particular site), but this month is gonna be quite awful in terms of school, so I cannot promise I'll meet that date. But, I'm really excited about it, and I hope you are, too.

There's just one last thing...

What should the domain name be? cnmb.com is taken. chewyninjamonkeybars.com is sickeningly long. Suggestions?

Kevin Pittsnogle approves of this pic and quote update.

[Update by Frog]

Wake Forest and Texas Tech wish they had.

I'm going to start assembling the user bios criteria sometime soon. I'll post it, and then you can send your responses to my frog-man.net email address. You know the one. Also, when you send in your responses, you should also send in a picture of yourself for your bio. Otherwise I'll have to dig through mine, and I'll find a really stupid one of you. Okay, probably not, but do you really want to run that risk?

A very self-masturbatory announcement...

Death of a tyrant...

[Update by Frog]

Someone please make a note of it--let it be known that on this day, Monday, March 14 in the year 2005, Brian Rhodes fell from his spot atop the Quote of the Moment Leaderboard, and shall never return. "Good riddance!" the townspeople cried out, celebrating with drink and promiscuity.

In other words, the pic and quote were updated. My apologies for being so late in doing so; it was a very, very busy weekend, but also a very excellent weekend. Birthday goings-on this year were a thousand times better than last year, at the very least, considering some birthday stuff actually took place this year. I'll elaborate sometime soon in a weblog.

Spring break is on! However, traditionally, spring break is one of my busiest weeks of the year, and it's looking no different this time. Last minute JUDL stuff to take care of, errands to run that I don't have time to run otherwise, lots of reading, several schemes to hatch, some homework (ugh), and one unauthorized dictatorship to overthrow. However, I may have some time here and there for some updates. Or I'll somehow force the time on myself.

Coming soon, because you demanded it: Frog-Man.net Message Board user bios!

I owe you one of these.

[Update by Frog]

Sorry it's running a little late this week; I have been sorely out of it... too much homework, plus illness. You know how it is sometimes. The weblog itself, however, should by all accounts be safe and pleasant to view. Now, it's sleepy time for what might as well be the first time all week... ugh.

This pic and quote will come into your house at night and wreck up the place!

[Update by Frog]

And they'll sell your children's organs to zoos for food. Computers may be twice as fast as they were in 1972, but the average voter is as drunk and stupid as ever... anyway, the pic and quote are new.

Everyone should continue showing up at dodgeball as you have the past two weeks. Turnout was phenominal last night, especially for the lower courts. Keep it up. Best dodgeball played since last summer.

Also, thanks to everyone who assisted in today's JUDL Invitational flyer run. Many, many flyers were distributed.

New weblog. Also, we officially played dodgeball on Friday. It's back.

[Update by Frog]

That's right, kids. It's back, and you better be there. It's not the upper courts, but man, it's dodgeball. Let's just bask in the glory of it all. Or something. Look, just show up.

Oh, yeah, here's this link to the weblog.

This weblog brought to you by me not studying for my test tomorrow.

[Update by Frog]

No harm done. I'll do it at work. Besides, I just finished that FDR paper and didn't want to do any more homework. But hey, this marks the first time all semester that it didn't take me until 3 AM to type a paper. I really hate that. But now I gotta go lift and probably won't get to bed until 2 or so. Eh. Do what you gotta do...

Updates are something I make when teachers don't want me dead.

[Update by Frog]

Sorry about the lack of everything here over the past two weeks. I've been preoccupied with a number of things, both good and bad.

The pic and the quote are new, of course. If you're curious about the pic, that's a face hugger in a stasis tube that my brother-in-law built. In person, it's even more awesome.

Dodgeball was a bust again. Dragxor. Oh well... those lights gotta come back on eventually.

A lot of topics should be covered in tomorrow's weblog, as I didn't do one last week. I just hope I can finish my 5-page FDR paper, my 1-page Drawing paper, and my studying of morphology for the first exam in my Principles of Language class in time to actually do the weblog. I'll try my hardest.

I stayed up late again, even though it was totally unnecessary to do so.

[Update by Frog]

But hey, if nothing else, this weblog did come out of it, so at least it wasn't a total waste. I'll probably fall asleep in a class or two tomorrow, but man, who wants to go to bed before 2 AM? Not me, apparently. Despite the... *yawn*... overwhelming exhaustion... all right, now I'm going to bed, before I potentially get stuck in some loop in which I ramble forever, and then someone will either have to time travel and stop me before it happens, or they'll have to fire some laser into the loop to disrupt it and free me. See what I mean? Rambling! And I'm out.

My fellow Earthicans, here are your weekend updates.

And they're not of today's crappy SNL variety, either.

You get one new pic and one new quote, as is the custom. And for once, I've done it on Saturday, and I've managed to do so without spewing crumbs at you. But, the shake machine is broken, and we're out of pie, so you don't get any dessert.

That's it. I would like to try to make weblogs a Sunday/early Monday morning kind of thing, so expect one soon, assuming I have things to say.

First official entry in the new weblog.

Monday, January 24, 2005 - 2:02 AM
[Update by Frog]

It's right here. Hopefully, now that I've found a system I like, there will be more entries. According to my plan, more entries will in turn also give the impression that more things are happening on this website than there really are.

...And there for a second, I thought impression was spelled with two M's, which is a sign that I probably need to go to bed.

Hey, remember Chewy Ninja Monkey Bars?

[Update by Frog]

If you don't, I am inclined to believe that this little number will refresh your memory. I'm trying something a little different with the artwork again. Remember that Christmas thing I did with the pencils and the ink? Well, I kinda liked it, so I did pencils and ink again on this one. You'll have to let me know what you think of it.

Go Eagles. For the love of God, please, go Eagles.

[Another update (2:30 AM): I added all my Xanga entries to the Old Weblog Archive and changed all links to the Xanga blog to the new blog. "Stop saying 'blog' in there!"]

The last straw.

[Update by Frog]

Resuming my duties as history's greatest loser, I am at home on this Friday night.

So, I got to work. And I swear this is the last time, but here's yet another new blog, this time courtesy of bloghorn. This one's a keeper, so please tell me that everything works properly.

Housekeeping...

[Update by Frog]

Hey kids. I hate to say it, but this is not a meaningful content update. Or is it...?

- I archived some old news, and made that 2004 old news archive I mentioned awhile back. Y'know, in case you're really, really bored.

- Links were updated. Do websites still have links pages? Or did they die out with counters? Well, this site still has both, and is proud of it. Some new ones were added, some old ones removed (links to my friends' blogs that were on the links page are now on the new blog), and so on, and so on, and so on...

- I'm going to transfer all the Xanga blog entries to the Old Weblog Archive. Once that's done, the new blog will officially begin.

- A new comic strip is near completion. I keep running out of time in my day to finish it. Not an excuse, I know. Still not living up to that whole consistency thing...

Lastly, the part of the update that isn't trite and boring... I have an inkling that today is Carol's 21st birthday, as well as my brother and sister-in-law's 4th anniversary. Best wishes all around!

Trying a different test blog that actually works... also, code monkeys, read this!

[Update by Frog]

At long last, my quixotic (in that I've been obsessed with it since the weekend, and the fact that I'm probably the only one that cares about it) efforts to establish a new weblog seemed to have reached something slightly resembling fruition. It's better than that last one I tried that didn't work. Have a look and see if you like it. Why do I want a new weblog? See the news post below.

Now, code monkeys... there are still unresolved issues with the board that I don't know how to fix. For one, I can't find/turn off the cookie that remembers your name and inexplicably your links and images. I think we're all agreed that it needs to go, but I don't know how to do it. Also, there is still the problem where messages in a thread are not listed in chronological order, oldest to newest. I don't know if that is even fixable. So, if you're a programmer or otherwise think you can dig through the code and figure these things out, email me or MSN me or board me, and I'll send you the code. If you volunteer and succeed even in only one of these tasks, you'll be treated like a king, or a mayor at the very least. Charles, I know you have the code already (you gave it to me and all), but I know you're a busy man, so I hate bugging you about this crud all the time.

Eagles advance to NFC title game... again. Also, new pic and quote.

[Update by Frog]

God help them, the city of Philadelphia, Craig Rhodes, and myself if they once again don't reach the Super Bowl...

The pic and quote are new, of course. I'm working on getting it back to Saturday, which will likely happen once school starts again.

Speaking of that, I'm sure once school begins, I'll have plenty to say about it and the other portions of my pathetic life. As such, I'm testing out a new weblog, and I'd like you to look at it and tell me what you think of it. Xanga is pretty good, but I just can't stand that you have to be a member to post comments. One of my big problems as a human being is that I want to hear what people have to say about things. I don't care if it's an opinion, making fun of me, or reassurances or affirmations when I'm not sure of something or when I need cheering up (those last two are admittedly selfish on my part)... whatever. I guess that's probably human nature, to an extent. Anyway, this new one runs on my webspace and all that (like the new board) and allows everyone to post comments (I think). Give it a look.

[Update: The link to the blog is being pretty stupid in that it says there aren't any posts when you go there, even though there is one. I'm working on it.]

Regarding dodgeball between now and spring... as you may or may not know, they don't even turn the lights on at the upper courts anymore. We have the options of calling them and asking them to turn the lights on every Friday night, playing at the lower courts (where the lights are inexplicably on?), or perhaps something else. Ideas? Anyone want to take charge? Anyone besides me and the six other people there this past Friday even want to play anymore?

Costumed super freaks made me make a new weblog entry...

Monday, January 3, 2005 - 2:20 AM
[Update by Frog]

The above statement is thoroughly untrue, but it shouldn't stop you from reading the weblog entry I actually did make, since a new entry was long overdue. Come on, don't you want to find out if I got out of the exploding building I mentioned at the end of the last entry? Oh, right... well, read it, anyway.

There's a doins' a transpirin' on this here website!

[Update by Frog]

Happy New Year, folks! Several things to bring to your attention on this late, late... late night...

- The pic and quote have been updated after not being updated last weekend due to Christmas.

- The Christmas comic/greeting is over in the CNMB portion of the site now, in case you missed it.

- If you'll take a closer look, the title graphic for the site has been renovated, and in my opinion looks a lot cleaner and generally better than it did. That's been bugging me for awhile, so I figured I'd do it after taking down the Christmas decorations, which will be new and improved this year since Nate made fun of them.

- I removed the Kail portion of the website. It was painfully incomplete, and I'm not anticipating working on it anytime soon. Before I ever consider bringing it back, I need to scan, save, and re-print all the old comics before they fall apart or otherwise age any further. They are some of my most treasured posessions, so I'd like to do something to preserve them.

That's all for now, but I seem to be on the move, so stay tuned!
