Holiday
Time, plus new quote and animated pic!

Hey, at
least this year this site is actually working during
Christmas time, so we actually have the opportunity to view
the pretty lights during the holiday season. Unlike
last year.
Furthermore,
there is a new quote, and a new animated pic. My Thanksgiving
photos are...well, not all that good, but just okay. Mostly
because I'm a lousy photographer. Also, the photos are littered
with despicable overuse of the middle finger, some of which
is brought to you in this animated montage. I figured maybe
I could manage to milk just a little bit of funny from the
photos. Hope you enjoy.

Also,
since both of today's quotes are amusing observations about
the KFVS12 news crew, I figured I would go ahead and offer
both of them in the same update, perhaps as some sort of peace
offering for not making enough updates lately.

about the long delay--my attention to the maintenance of websites
has been skewed and spread thin as of late. But here is some

days. The removal of my real name from the site, for one thing.
There is a distinct, non-criminal-related reason for this,

don't have much to say in addition to the update. I would
very much like to do a new blog entry this week, if there's
time. Time seems to be a luxury I have less and less of all
the time these days. But the truth of the matter is I'm probably
just watching too many wrestling DVDs lately.

FYI, I will be in Chicago from Friday until around 10 or so

Happy birthday, Matt! For the record, I did a kick-ass red-eye
reduction job on that picture. Not that I wouldn't have if
it wasn't Matt's birthday--I'm just saying.

day it's supposed to come to you--Sunday. You know, as opposed
to Monday or Tuesday...or never. I wanted to start the week

I trust
everyone is enjoying their Memorial Day holiday...assuming
you are even awake at this moment. I can tell you I am the
only one stirring in my house in these late morning hours.
I wouldn't have minded sleeping a little longer, but I have
a long to-do list of tasks and a day off that permits me to
get some of these things done, so I got an early start.
One item
on this to-do list was a pic and quote update, and here it
is now--two disturbing additions to the site sure to give
your Memorial Day the boost of raunch and innuendo it so sorely
(no pun intended) needs.
My work
here is done for the day. Off I go to get a number of other
things done. Have a great holiday.

you shouldn't be with what little goes on here these days.
But I hope you still do.
Tonight,
you are receiving a new pic and quote. Also, a new feature
has been added to the site in the form of the Calendar
of Events. This handy tool allows you to see all of the
upcoming scheduled events, such as BBBQs, softball games,
and whatever else. If you would like to see an event added
to the calendar, please contact me and I'll put it on there
for you. But please, events should be relevant to the group
as a whole. I'm not putting work schedules, birthdays (unless
an event is planned for the birthday), or other personal items
on here, or it's just going to get too crowded. The calendar
is unfortunately pretty crude in appearance, but it will serve
its purpose. Please check it regularly for updates.
Some old
news was archived. I still need to archive the old weblog
entries, though.
That's

in time, as well. I was going to be mad at myself if I didn't
follow through with the update I said I would make today.

else to report right now. Just got through watching the Cardinals
build a modest 3-game losing streak. This team bats and fields
worse than I do.

I'm actually at home and without company. I have no paperwork
to do, no taxes to file, and no bills to pay, so I finally

I tell
you what. All this work and college and other bullcrap in
all of our lives these days sure is making it difficult to
find adequate pics and quotes. That and I'm in the bad habit
of never carrying my camera with me, or paper upon which to
write down quotes. Come on, the last two quotes have both
been about Brett. Not saying that's bad, but usually the same
person isn't the subject of two consecutive quotes. This is
also why quote updates have only been appearing every other
week lately, as opposed to weekly. I'm conserving so I don't
use up what I have remaining. We're not in incredibly dire
straits, but we could be in better shape.

I can
tell I'm extremely tired because I kept looking for Adobe
Illustrator and/or Photoshop controls on the user interface
of my website-editing software. I was awfully confused there
for a moment. What a dumby.
Despite
that, I managed to update the pic and quote. You get a pic
two weeks in a row on account of the downtime. I'll probably
have to put another one up next week, as well, and that might
cover it. I'm not sure. I may or may not do a Tribe Thanksgiving/Christmas
pictorial sometime soon. We'll see.
I wanted
to have a blog out by now, as well, but I haven't gotten to
that yet. I'm in sort of a "I have so much to do, I don't
know where to start, so I I just won't do anything" situation.
I'll get to it. I also want to do my NFL ranking list now
while I'm seething with rage over the Patriots' recent defeat
of the Chargers.

almost forgot how to do this; it has been so long.
First
thing's first--there is a new pic and quote, at a time when
I'm sure you've never so desperately yearned for a new pic
and quote in your life. You have hijinks in the basement,
for one. And Ricky...well, Ricky just wasn't feeling very
well for a couple of days there.
We're
gonna try to play dodgeball again this Friday. We barely got
it going last week, so let's try to make it two in a row.
