Name:
Carol (a.k.a. The Queen of the Wild Frontier)
Position: Editor of Stuff; Puppetmaster
What she does here: Carol is pretty good
at finding other people's mistakes. It's her own mistakes
she's got problems with...Frog realized Carol's talent, and
knew she could improve the quality of the web site, so he
asked for her help. Well, actually, she volunteered. She's
a big fan of finding other people's mistakes. Wields ultimate
power over this website from behind the scenes while Frog
acts as a figurehead.
POWER
STATS (on a scale of 1 to 10)
Strength:
8 10. This isn't physical strength. This
is that Don't-Fuck-with-Me-or-You'll-get-Your-Ass-Kicked-No-Matter-How-Small-I-Look
strength. This is quite possibly the worst kind. Forget that
8. Carol's definitely a 10. Yeah. 10. Watch out.
Perception:
9.95. Being the Editor of Stuff, it is important for Carol
to be very perceptive. She needs to catch all those tiny mistakes
that even Frog, who's pretty perceptive, missed. However,
she is human. Sometimes (as in not very often at all) she
misses something. Don't expect that, though. It rarely happens.
Endurance:
9. Carol ran Cross Country in high school and she made it
through college in 3.5 years so we figure she's got endurance
both physically and mentally.
Charisma:
5. As the years have gone by, Carol’s charisma has improved,
though only slightly. She usually works alone, and if she
does need someone else's help, they probably owe her anyway,
so she doesn't need to do too much sweet-talking.
Agility:
8. Carol’s agility is heightened with of the help of
her extremely agile Chihuahua, Prince. Like any good superhero,
Carol’s sidekick’s agility can keep her enemies
at bay while she takes care of business. In this case, her
business is editing things.
Intelligence:
9. Carol is smart. She's not the smartest person, and she
sure as hell doesn't have a 165 IQ, but sometimes you have
to wonder about Frog's sanity. Is it worth being a genius
if you're insane, too? Definitely not. Plus, Carol's way smarter
than most of the people she knows, and "that's all that
matters."
Luck:
8. Carol's a pretty lucky girl. She's cute, her family (although
sometimes intolerable) loves her, and her friends respect
her. She enjoys life in general. Who could ask for more?
Career
plans: In December 2005 Carol graduated from the
University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in English (minor
in French). She's not sure what she wants to do with this
degree, but sitting at home writing all day is her dream job.
In the summer of 2006 she’ll be moving to Chicago to
pursue something a little more exciting than being a secretary,
though as of this moment she knows not what.
Interests:
Carol likes to read and make fun of people. College almost
killed her desire to read, and she has just recently begun
her road to recovery. (Middlesex is her latest recommendation,
along with the Joycean classic Ulysses.) As for making
fun of people, well, that’s just too much fun.
Special
Skills: Carol has an excellent talent for bullshitting.
She also is great at writing. She's realistic, though some
would say this is pessimism. It's not pessimism. It's realism.
She loves French, and knows it fairly well.
Additional Info: Carol wants everyone to
know that if you ever need help with papers or assignments
for English classes, she'd love to help. Actually, editing
papers is one of her favorite things to do. Need references?
She's got 'em. Contact her via e-mail for any questions.
