Dolan
Reese Chiles was born April 2 at 8:20 in the morning. He weighed
9 pounds, 5 ounces and was 21 and a half inches long. I believe
that his pose in this photo will be similar to the pose he
will strike on his banner when he becomes ruler of the known
universe. I sort of wish I could have got a better picture,
but my photography skills are so poor that I can't even adequately
capture an unmoving infant. In my defense, there was a coffee
table in the way.
The quote
is also new, but it is less special.

I was
going to use a picture from Saturday night, but was convinced
to use this one instead, as it is more time-sensitive. The
other picture can be enjoyed anytime, and it will come soon
enough. Cool, yet frightening flood pictures may also be used
at some point in the future. But first I have to get all of
that stuff on my stubborn camera. That card reader is sounding
mighty good right about now.
The flood
waters just receded a couple of inches over the past hour
or so, but it's raining pretty hard again now. Not out of
the woods yet, but I'm hoping it won't rain enough from this
point on to cause any major trouble.
I have
much to do tonight, so I will close things here. See you soon.

I finally
procured a funny picture that I could use for the website.
Hooray!
My next
goal for the site is to reorganize and streamline the blog,
which is in about three different places right now.
But until
then, you'll just have to enjoy Matt attacking Greesh with
an icicle.

Groundhog Day, everyone.
Today
I bring you a new pic and quote. And for you statisticians
out there, it should be noted that 2 of Cole's last 2 quotes
are about weiners.
Since
Ricky and I are finally (mostly) done building that other
website, I hope that I will be able to devote a little more
attention to this website. It certainly could use it.

All right,
so first off, happy new year!
Secondly,
new quote, four new pics. The pictures are of my brother-in-law's
Predator costume. The actual Predator head and skin were ordered,
while I believe all of the rest of it was made by him. It's
really cool, so hopefully the pictures do it justice.
Third,
new business. Major news archiving needs to happen here, and
I also need to finish archiving and streamlining the blog,
which is a work in progress. I'm tempted to overhaul the site
design again, but we'll see. A complete overhaul probably
isn't necessary, but I would like to see a few things change.
Lastly,
there has been talk of adding a picture gallery/dump feature
to the site that any of us can use, so we can all share our
pictures very easily. We could set it up so all interested
parties would have their own folders, or we could also set
up folders for specific events and pool all of our photos
for each specific event. I don't know how interested you would
be in this, since we already have Facebook and all the networking
and photobucket-esque sites available. But if you're like
me, you don't necessarily want to put every picture you've
ever taken on those sites. You should let me know what you
think. We would have to secure it in some way so the bots
couldn't get on it, and so people who stumble on the site
won't post pictures of weiners on it. But we'll cross that
bridge when we find it.
